Esta ley transforma la Comisi\u00f3n para promover la Competencia (COPROCOM) en un tribunal administrativo a tiempo completo e incrementar\u00e1 sustancialmente su presupuesto. Asimismo, tanto la COPROCOM como la Superintendencia de Telecomunicaciones (SUTEL) tendr\u00e1n m\u00e1s poderes para investigar pr\u00e1cticas monopol\u00edsticas y realizar estudios de mercado y actividades de abogac\u00eda de la competencia. La ley introduce nuevos umbrales para la notificaci\u00f3n previa de concentraciones de empresas, nuevas reglas de procedimiento y sanciones m\u00e1s fuertes contra las pr\u00e1cticas monopol\u00edsticas.
